All  Multi-purpose Dry Batteries (classification-R03, R6, R14 and R20) are categorized under IS 8144. All models and brands that meets IS 8144 standards are required to get ISI Certification before its launch or import to the Indian consumer market. ISI Certificated will be issued to the manufacturer only (not to dealer/trader or distributor) whether manufacturer is in India or in abroad does not matter.
